Tony Gallopin : “A Vuelta that will remain etched in my memory”
“The Top Ten was my goal after winning the seventh stage. Yesterday, after the finish, I was inevitably disappointed to fall down to 11th place. But with hindsight, I realize that I have experienced three beautiful weeks. I was able to fight with the best. I had never come to a Grand Tour this way, as a team leader, and I must say that I had a lot of fun. And that was the whole goal of starting. I was very well protected during the three weeks. We rode as a really great team and at all levels. This is a race that will long live in my memory.”TONY GALLOPIN
Julien Jurdie : “A lot of fun”
“This Vuelta was a very good vintage! The riders, but also the staff took a lot of pleasure during these three weeks. With two stage victories and eleventh place in the overall standings, we enjoyed great emotions! Collectively, we were really present. We end with a feeling of accomplishment. Tony’s performance was a revelation for him, and for the team. All he has achieved during the last three weeks will serve him for the seasons to come. In addition to that, I’ll remember the performance of Alexandre Geniez who was able to win a great stage, and I’ll also remember the very good beginnings for Nans Peters. For his first Grand Tour, he was very strong, consistent, and a major help for Tony.”JULIEN JURDIE
