PIERRE LATOUR : “The first time trial I felt right in for a long time”
“I recovered well during the rest day. From the first climb, I saw that my legs were responding well so I didn’t have to question myself. This type of course where you are always on the edge is more to my advantage than a really flat course which is more for the rouleurs. This is the first time in a long time that. I felt right in a time trial, and that’s nice. This is a discipline that I love. I often train with the time trial bike at home in the Rhone Valley, and that’s mainly why I’m not doing too badly now. I am no longer well placed in the general classification. My form is still too irregular for that. Now, I want to get into a breakaway to try to win a stage.”PIERRE LATOUR
Sixth in the 10th stage of the Vuelta a Espana, which was a 36.2km time trial between Jurançon and Pau,
Pierre Latour averaged 44.953 km / hour.
Crash without injury for Dorian Godon
Twenty-sixth in the time trial, Dorian Godon crashed but did not injure himself: "I came into a corner too hot, and I ended up in the ditch, but everything is fine. It was more frightening than causing any real damage.”
