Francois Bidard: « I’ll be al dente for the Giro »
"I raced the Tour des Alpes with the backbone of the team that will be participating in the Giro. The group is getting warmed up, and we’ll really be in a position to do some great things in the coming weeks. Eschborn-Frankfurt will be a very good race to continue this progress. With Oliver Naesen, we will be able to influence the final, and achieve a great result.
Personally, I did a training camp in Nice before the Tour des Alpes to climb some tough passes, and I feel that effort is paying off. I'll be "al dente" for the Giro, which is a race that I like a lot. This will be my third participation. It is a long and exhausting ordeal, where experience is important. With Alexis Vuillermoz there for the general classification, and a solid group of guys who can go for the stages, everything is ready to succeed for three beautiful weeks.» FRANCOIS BIDARD
In 2018, Oliver Naesen finished 3rd in Eschborn-Frankfurt. It will be the event he uses to return to racing after having taken a short break after the Amstel Gold Race.
