Clement Venturini : “Happy to offer this title to the team”
“I am moved and very happy. Last year, I lost my title in Brittany because I was just a little too confident. I learned my lesson.
After going through a difficult period, I am glad to be able to reconnect with success in this discipline I love, and on the circuit where I did not necessarily have good memories. With the mud, this was true cyclocross racing. Technically, I was a bit limited but I was able to compensate with my physicality. I had a lot of people here helping me today, my close friends and family, and I am very happy to be able to offer this title to AG2R LA MONDIALE, just as John Gadret did in the past (see figure). I’d like to thank the directors who allowed me to line up for the race today. Now, I’ll head to Spain for an training camp before I start the road racing season at the Etoile de Bessèges (February 6th).”CLEMENT VENTURINI
In the same race, Quentin Jaurégui crossed the finish line in 8th position.
Thirteen years after John Gadret (2006), Clément Venturini has now won the second title of French cyclocross champion with the AG2R LA MONDIALE team.
