Jaakko Hanninen : “Happy to start with the team”
“I crashed in May at the Rhône-Alpes Isère Tour, but I was able to return to competition recently with my club, l’Etoile Cycliste Saint-Etienne Loire. It was important for me to wear the club jersey once again before joining AG2R LA MONDIALE. I am happy to start at the professional level, and I already know some of my teammates. I spent time with the team as a stagiaire this past winter, and I was recently with the team in Vaujany en Oisans. The Clasica San Sebastian is a great event. I expect it to be difficult, especially after months without having done any big races. But taking part in this kind of event is the best way to learn and progress. My second professional race will be Polynormande (August 18th).”JAAKKO HANNINEN
For his professional debut, Jaakko Hanninen, 22, will be racing alongside Hubert Dupont, who is sixteen years older.
Three podiums for Gallopin
