Dorian Godon: "I took some risks"
“There aren’t that many prologues in the year, and this one suited me very well because it’s pretty punchy. There are several turns, and a little climb. We don’t have the chance to race prologues that much during the season. It was a long day, but it ended well. I took some risks, and I gave everything. At the bottom of the climb, I knew I was in the running. My radio headset wasn’t working, though, so I had to manage my efforts a little on my own without any feedback, but everything went well. This win gives me back my morale because I had had to abandon the Four Days of Dunkirk. I just had no strength, and then for ten days I was like at my junior level again. Tomorrow, we have heard the conditions will be appalling, but we are lining up with a good team of "Flandrians" for the windy, rainy flats. We will fight hard to keep the jersey.”DORIAN GODON
This is the second time in a row that Dorian Godon has won the prologue of the Boucles de la Mayenne. It is also his second victory among the professionals.
