Vuelta a Espana / Stage 10 : Alexandre Geniez 5th
It took over 80km before the break could get away. We had the wind at our backs, and the early part of the stage didn’t have any real difficulties.I knew that this was a stage that could suit me very well. Before the rest day, I already felt that my legs were good, and today I felt really good.On that last climb, we got a little buried because everyone was watching everyone else too much, and a small group was able to get away. That last descent was really technical, andI was not overly confident on it. With the rain and the piney woods, I was very afraid to slip and crash, so I did not manage to bridge the 25 seconds back up to the front leaders. It’s a shame. You have to make the most of the days when you feel good, and so I am a little frustrated this evening.I will console myself by saying that the sensations seem to be good enough, andI’ll just have to try again to get a stage victory.Alexandre Geniez
The number : 3
After Romain Bardet (4th in the 3rd stage) and Alexis Gougeard (5th in the 5th stage), Alexander Geniez has posted the third top-5 place for the AG2R LA MONDIALE team at this Vuelta with a 5th place today..
The news : First breakaway for Nico Denz
