OLIVER NAESEN: "FIT FOR THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS"

GP de Wallonie (Sept. 13th) - Championnats des Flandres Orientales (Sept. 15th)

"The Grands Prix Cyclistes Québec and Montréal reassured me about my condition.
I was sick before Brittany Classic but now I realize that I was able to regain my fitness very quickly. I think I will be able to be in form right in time for the World Championships in Bergen (Norway - September 24th).
On Friday I will participate in the Kampioenschap van Vlaanderen.
I am happy to return to racing in Belgium and on a circuit course, which is a format that I like. This is not necessarily my sort of parcours, but we will have a strong team for the race."

THE NUMBER: 3

Jan Bakelants, fourth on Sunday at the GP of Montreal, is fond of the GP of Wallonia. He has finished on the podium three times, which include a victory in 2013, a third place in 2014 and a second place in 2015.

THE NEWS: 13,779 KM OF RACING FOR NAESEN

Oliver Naesen has participated in 83 days of racing in 2017 for a total of 13,779 km.

CORRECTION: ONLY 4 SELECTED AT THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Contrary to what we wrote in our newsletter on Sunday, September 10th, Gediminas Bagdonas will not participate in the World Championships in the colors of Lithuania, which has only one rider selected.
Four riders from the AG2R LA MONDIALE team will be traveling to Norway: Cyril Gautier and Alexis Gougeard (France), Hugo Houle (Canada) and Oliver Naesen (Belgium).
