AG2R LA MONDIALE and Vincent Lavenu, General Manager of the cycling team, have always been advocating the practice of cycling in compliance with the rules of the Movement For a Credible Cycling (MPCC).

Cycling team AG2R LA MONDIALE became a founding member of the MPCC that was created in July 2007.

AG2R LA MONDIALE is also member as a sponsor:

Vincent Lavenu, supported by his full staff (team managers, doctor, psychologist, physiotherapists and osteopaths), is taking all the possible provisions and precautions to ensure that riders comply with the sporting and ethical rules.

The code of ethics the MPCC implemented respects not only the International Cycling Union conduct code and the rules set out by the World Anti-Doping Agency: it goes beyond such rules and impose even stricter ones.

It includes in particular:

  • immediate withdrawal from a race since the first notification of a rider’s positive test
  • systematic dismissal of any rider who tested positive and was penalised by a period of suspension of more than 6 months
  • no further hiring of any rider suspended for that same reason
  • minimum 8 days’ work and competition stoppage in case the rider receives a local corticosteroid infiltration for health reasons
  • Additional anti-doping controls and unannounced tests
